Promises, Promises, Promises of God

BEHOLD I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers (Deut. 1:8b). GOD did not forget the promise of inheritance HE made to the Israelites. All they needed to do, was take possession of the land HE promised them. Instead, their disbelief, disobedience, and discouragement postponed their blessings. GOD tolerated their behavior briefly; they died; the others praised HIM right on into the Promised Land.

GOD will bless HIS children spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially if our hearts are in the right place, with HIM.

The promised land filled with blessings is ours too; but we must obey to receive them. If we disobey, it will cost us; but it costs CHRIST nothing. HE will send us around, thru, up and down the rough side of the mountain or in the belly of the whale until we obey, ask Jonah.

It is important to stay with GOD. Do not question what GOD instructs us to do. Simply stay on the lit path; there, we will walk into the promise and possess everything the promise is holding for us until we get there.

GOD told Aaron to go, he went. When HE commands the Pastor to go possess our Canaan Land, just like Miriam lifted her tambourine, be ready to march, sing, and praise!

Circling the same mountain forty years, or repeating the same test, proves defiance hinders blessings. When GOD causes us to repeat the same test, the only thing HE may change is the people involved. Obedience changes the outcome of the test; and faith works in step with obedience. Every disobedient complaining Israelite died before seeing the Promised Land.

Let us stay in the camp obedient, and faithfully wait for the LORD; time is near, get ready to possess your promised land.

I thank God for His promises. I take them personally because they apply to me. It is encouraging and highly beneficial to know that God keeps His word and that He does not change. I rely upon that knowledge to live for Him in spite of all the difficulties I've encountered and have yet to encounter. Thank God for His Word!
