THE Christians’ race must be run slow and steady, with patience. For this run for salvation, we must lay aside every sin and weight that kills our stride. At times, the pace of our race may change; so, we must keep Scriptures in our hearts to jump over and avoid tricks and traps of the enemy. Remember, the winner is the one who endureth to the end” (Matthew 24:13), not the one running the fastest.
Christians’ must run hard and train using the WORD of GOD. Those teetering between CHRIST and the world are subject to quit the Christian race. They attend church and believe that is all it takes. They are easily swayed believing false doctrines. False doctrines are full of sugary words, covered in cotton candy, not good for the soul, spirit, or body. They do not have the meat of the Gospel. Yet, it is the meat or truth of the Gospel that helps us run with patience.
Satan is aware of every person running in the outer lane, the lane farthest from the marked and well-traveled sanctified lane. He knows weak Christians take risks. And when they do, he trips them up and finishes his kill. Do not be the one.
Keep running. Although it is natural to feel tired, frustrated, or even, discouraged; do not give up. When GOD saved you, HE did not save a quitter; look where HE brought you from thus far. We have come to far to turn back to the world. If you remind yourself, you have got to make it, you will. Read your Bible, pray, fast, and go to church; you will stay in the race.
Let us run… Paul included himself. He had to run harder than Christians do today. He probably wondered how much longer too. Thus, this race is before us, not behind us- do not look back; run it with patience; and if you fall, get up, dust off (repent), and keep running.
