Call Upon Jesus!

THE LORD is with you… and if ye seek HIM, HE will be found of you(2 Chron 15:2b). GOD does not move; it ought to be easy for us to find HIM.

Seek HIM: search for HIM, pursue HIM, and chase after HIM.

Azariah’s message to Asa was clear; what GOD wanted from them, HE also requires from us. HE wants a committed heart.

Seeking GOD means realizing, as much as our minds can, HE is already with us. It means measuring ourselves with the Bible and acknowledging our shortcomings. It means we commit to delving into HIS WORD. It means not settling for five-minute Bible study time. It means putting HIS WORD in our heart and asking HIM how to apply it. To seek is a practice of studying to rightly divide the WORD. O GOD, thou art my GOD; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee… (Psalms 63:1). To seek means to yearn for HIM daily. Seeking is a hunger and thirst for HIM more than anything. It means we look to HIM for everything. We seek HIM just “As the deer panteth after the water brooks… (Psalms 42:1); they seek out streams of water until they find it. We also seek unwavering, untiring, and unswerving until we find GOD.

You ask, who should seek HIM? Every breathing person.

Expect hard life lessons when we seek other things before GOD or if we are part-time or holiday church attendees only.

Who do you diligently seek? Are you seeking to serve GOD full time? Is HE first or second in your life? Always remember, HE does not owe us; we are debtors to HIM; we will never fully pay our debt. But we can seek HIM with a repentant spirit. When all is done, don’t get relaxed, seek HIM again if you are awakened to see the sun shining tomorrow(s).
